((November 1st Casual De Falsis Deis thread ))
The sun had only just risen, casting a gentle orange hue across the mountainside that was littered with gnarled and curved tree's with large leaves. The terrain shimmered with the sleek of a rain that had fallen only the night before and despite the sheen it left on the mountain top Diogenes had made his way up to the carved out home that they lived in. Occasionally the King would pay them a visit which was why he was making his way back down. Squinting, those golden eyes of his looked towards the distance to where the sun was rising before he descended into the layers of tree's and back to his home. The De Falsis Deis cave was above an enclosure of sorts, rocks built up as their own ancient slopes and steps where his pride could all gather. In the old days it made for a good place to conduct meetings for the wars, a perch for the pride to all see their leader and listen. The concave shape bounced sounds and voices so easily.
Rolling his shoulders he eased the tension built from his downward saunter from the mountains peaks, Diogenes then stood at the lip of the stadium by the mouth of the cave. He expected his pride would be rising soon with the day now beginning, it was about time that the Huntresses would begin to awaken and get ready for the day. Jowls parted and he craned his neck forward, finishing a yawn before shaking his copper mane to truly wake up better. His face was impassive, as it often was, stoic and calculating with a hint of edge that he'd had for as long as anyone could remember. But as always Diogenes was fair with his own.
Curiously, his ear twitched to a noise that was not unwelcome. The great beast turned his head, brow cocked slightly as he rested gaze upon the one who would first make conversation with him this day.
"Salve." he greeted. The King was in a favorable mood this morning. Perhaps it was the early rise and a pleasant conversation with the fire birds from the mountain, he did quite enjoy their company and alliance. Terms between De Falsis Deis and the Sky Council had always been ideal.
