(ooc: November 4th. Closed to Kula and Zira.)
"Wait, wait, wait! Come back!"
Kula had been chasing a small guineafowl from the Pride Lands, and much to her dismay the bird was headed across a log leading into a rather marshy area. The dark-furred lioness hadn't planned on that. Being the goofus that she was, though, she hadn't really stopped to think about where she was going. As the guineafowl dropped onto the ground of the swampy terrain, Kula followed behind it. She had slowed her pace, though. There was something eerie about the land she was in, and she wasn't sure if she liked it or not.
Great galloping gazelles, she thought as she padded forward. A Pride Lander in his terrain was bound to get a bit lost and maybe put herself in danger. It seemed that the crocodiles weren't that active right then, though. She could get her bit of food and get out quickly enough. At least... She hoped that she could. Pudgy lioness was hungry.
As she crept toward her wouldbe kill, her tongue crept out of her mouth and licked the side of her muzzle. The bird looked so good. It would be worth the long chase to get it, she thought. She hardly could wait to taste the succulent bird meat and maybe bring back some for her pride sisters. ...Sisters. The thought had her stop for a beat. She hadn't thought that actively about her older sister in a while, but technically she'd chased that bird into the outlands, hadn't she. Where was Zira now? Were she and her cubs all right? Kula knew that Kion must have run into them if what the Guard had talked about was true, but still... She hoped her sister was all right.
The guineafowl made a noise, and that brought Kula back to reality. Right. She had to get the bird and get out. As she was about to leap, though, Kula heard footfalls nearby. She also could scent someone familiar. Her reddish brown eyes glistened with hope.
"...Zira?"
