As her name implies, Ubongo is incredibly intelligent, far more than Nguvu and Uzuri combined, especially when it comes to being stealth as well as survival tactics and knowledge. Hell, she could probably tell you twelve different ways on how to survive without attracting anyone to your presence or how to survive on as little food and water as possible. Of course, Bon Bon prefers not to as she doesn't want her husband or his guards finding out her tricks. Speaking of, her favourite is acting innocent and obedient but secretly plotting something under everyone's noses, a tactic she often uses in her escape attempts. Because of her immense survival knowledge, Ubongo has a good memory and can easily remember things others wouldn't.
In regards to relationships Ubongo completely loathes Bewaarder with every fibre of her being, viewing him as a ball and chain, and the idea of being used as breeding stock. In fact, it's actually the reason why tries to keep escaping, despite many failed attempts. As for the wives, Ubongo can barely tolerate Uzuri with their differing views causing them to clash so much that they rarely agree on anything and her dreamy nature in general just pisses her off. Interestingly enough, she's fine with Nguvu. The two get along okay with Bon Bon helping her with directions and translating big words for her, mostly out of feeling bad for her. As for her daughter and nephews, Ubongo doesn't like the acid-spitting harpy her baby has become and desperately wants to get her away from her father's influence, although she gets the biggest kick out of watching her baby roast someone. Like mother, like daughter. She adores Pyn and Nux but doesn't really like Voltooi. However, she is grateful for the little brat liking Nux enough to keep him alive.
History
Unlike the others, Ubongo wasn't born into the Prison Pride. She was born outside their borders to a pair of runaway lovers who were from a Pride that valued survival, stealth above all. As a result they had very little trouble evading any patrolling lions until one fateful night... Baby Ubongo was hungry and cried out for something to eat which eventually led to the family being captured and thrown into the cells, even Ubongo. However her parents refused to beg for freedom, something that completely shocked the guards, who were used to hearing their prisoners beg to leave the second they were thrown in. Unsure of what to do they left to get the Warden, just in case he knew what to do. He interrogated them, threatening to torture the other and Ubongo, until they finally answered. Satisfied with getting some answers from them, he left and had them released a few hours later after much thought and consideration. However, he didn't do it out of sheer generosity: he plans for the lions and would use them to catch more criminals as they were very inconspicuous, no-one would see them coming. Knowing it was better than angering him further, Ubongo's parents agreed and thus began her life in the Cliffsides.
Ubongo's life was fairly normal until she was chosen alongside Nguvu and Uzuri to be one of the new Warden's Brides. At first she was very excited but that quickly faded away when she realised Bewaarder wasn't capable of feeling love. When Katili was born, she understood why she was chosen: her genes were incredible and of course Bewaarder would want those to be passed onto her children... She was breeding stock. Ubongo felt depressed and trapped, so she devised a plan to escape. With some help from her parents, Ubonog fled the Cliffsides with Katili in tow. Unfortunately, a certain someone had noticed his Smart Wife and daughter were missing and sent his best trackers to find them. As expected, they were found and taken back but Ubogo refused to go down without a fight. She only came back with minimal scratching as the trackers didn't want to anger their Warden by hurting her, whereas they ended up various scars. However instead of curbing her desire to leave, her failed escape attempt and capture only increased it.
Following that, Ubongo continued to try and escape; with some attempts working out very well and others that didn't. But regardless of the outcome, Bewaarder always managed to find her. As of now, she's lying low and waiting for him to leave so she can finally leave and go to her true home, a lush jungle her parents called the "Green Place".

"What a dumb brute. No wonder her parents abandoned her."
"What did you just say?" She snarled, whipping her head around to look at the offender. How dare they insult her sister, her partner in crime, her best friend and get away with it?! Growling, she looked over her shoulder at Nguvu, who nodded. That was all the permission Ubongo needed. "Hmm, let's see..." She eyed the offender up and down, malice gleaming in her eyes. What to use as ammunition? Scars are often good. Family issues are better, but then again so are all emotional scars. I'm going to start with humiliation and then work my way up. Bon Bon mused as a dark grin crept up along the sides of her muzzle.
"You shouldn't be in any position to judge her, especially considering your old leader disowned you after he found out what you did, didn't he?" She asked, adding emphasis on the second last word in order to rub some salt in the wound. Their shocked expression, which soon turned into anger, only fuelled Ubongo's attack. She mockingly shook her head and 'tsk'ed at them. "I can't blame them, to be honest. I mean I certainly would exile a murderer and fratricide committer. What kind of sick fuck would kill their sister to get with their mate, hmm?" Ubongo grinned to herself, the offender was trapped: there was no way to get out of the web she had weaved with her words. As she spoke, the female walked over to them.
"You don't know what you're talking a-about!"
Their voice cracked and it was music to her ears. Hook, line and sinker. She had officially got him, that much was clear. "You know exactly what I'm talking about." Ubongo leaned dangerously close to their face, noses almost touching. "If I ever hear you insult my sister, I will do so much more than drag your name through the mud." She flashed a threatening grin before backing off. "C'mon Nguvu, this asshole won't bother you anymore..." Ubongo trailed off and joined the tall girl, giving her a small reassuring smile. And if they did it was certainly handy knowing a thousand and one ways to torture someone, courtesy of her husband and his guards.
