"Rise and shine, rise and shine, lovely prisoners of mine."
The rhyming sadist rounded the corner of the jail cells. It was dawn, a time she loved rising to. There was always time for a nap later. She liked to rise at dawn and wake the prisoners up to torture them. No sleep on cold floors and when they finally drifted off here she would come to wake them. What delight she took in rising them from their little bit of peaceful slumber they got. She chuckled softly, ears rolling back as she rounded each corner with a fluid, soft motion.
Finally she was done. Satisfied she'd done her evil deed for the morning she lept down from her prison block. Her mouth opened in a great yawn. She was tired but morning was a great time for training. Before the sun baked the cliffside caverns in it's blaring light.
She kneaded the ground, tongue rolling over her jaws. She started to rhyme to herself, unaware someone was approaching from behind.
"Blood rhymes with mud, rhymes with thud, rhymes with dud, rhymes with..."

Ubongo rolled onto her stomach and yawned as half-lidded eyes glanced around her surroundings. This is going to be an interesting conversation. I can see it already. She mused, rolling her eyes and flicking her tail in irritation. For the second time that week Ubongo had spent the night in the cells. The female had left their cave the previous night to converse with the prisoners and during some point, she estimated, eventually grew tired and fell asleep. With a sigh Ubongo raised to her paws and stretched, joints popping in the process. As much as I'm going to regret this later, it's time to face the music... Ubongo internally groaned as she clenched her jaw. The lioness wasn't ready to deal with the line of questioning she was certain to undergo once someone pointed out she was missing last night. But it was better to go through it now than delay it... And besides, she didn't need another lecture from Bewaarder.
As she turned a corner, Ubongo was met with a familiar sight: her daughter. Shi--- Blue eyes widened considerably as she halted completely, muscles tensing in anticipation, just in case Katili had noticed her presence. Fortunately for Ubongo, her daughter was occupied with torturing the prisoners. The smart wife released a sigh of relief as her daughter left and turned another corner. Good. I'm safe, well at least for now... Ubongo mused as she continued where she left off, watching her daughter round another corner. As she ventured towards the exit, blue eyes flicked left and right at the cells. Hmm, I wonder who's on today... Oh I'm at the exit already. In that case, I can find out later. For now, I must deal with our "beloved" Warden. Yip-fucking-pee. Ubongo groaned audibly. Oh how I look forward to our eventual screaming match. Maybe he'll say something intelligent this time. The smart wife chuckled as she began her descent, bounding down the walls. With practised ease, she landed on the ground and began to pad in the direction of their cave, until something or more rather someone, caught her attention.
A dusty ear flicked up. What is Katili doing? Doesn't she know what time it is...? I raised her better than this. With an irritated huff and flick of her tail, Ubongo turned and as silently as she could, walked up to her daughter who seemed to be in the middle of a rhyming spiel. Time to intercept. "Crud, flood and scud, which all rhyme with numerous other words." Ubongo finished nonchalantly, as if it was the most natural thing in the world. "But since rhyming isn't my strong suit, I'll leave that to the professionals." An easy smile appeared on her face. Although she wasn't happy with the reasons why she used it, Ubongo was happy that Katili shared her rapier wit... Well she was to an extent. Speaking of, the lioness mused as she turned her attention back to her daughter. Just what exactly was she doing? "Now," Ubongo stated mirroring her mother whenever she was found doing things during ungodly hours. "What are you doing here Katili? Shouldn't you be asleep?" Ubongo raised a concerned eyebrow. While she waited for her response, Ubongo started thinking of her own reasons for why she was there.
Katili’s own ears flicked up and she turned, spotting her much more attractive mother sliding up near her. A smile slid onto her maw. Despite her mother being a softy, Katili did adore her. She was truly the only one she could have an intelligent conversation with in this filthy wasteland. Her tail whipped behind her happily, as she stifled a purr, like a cub excited to see their Mommy.
“Professionals? Professionals?” She giggled softly, almost manically, “Mother dear, you know why I repeat my refrain, it’s because I want to sharpen my brain.” She tapped the side of her head and approached her mother, slinking towards her with her head lowered. “We’re both smart that much is true. If we don’t practice our brains will fall through.”
She tilted her head slightly and gave a chuckle. “Sleeping mother? I can sleep when I’m dead. Or take a nap when I’m ready for bed.” She grinned proudly. “Practice and training is what I’m up for. Though I do enjoy waking the prisoners more.”
She narrowed her eyes. “And you? Why are you awake?” She dropped off the rhyming. She could. It really was to make sure everyone around her knew how intelligent she was. Her mother already knew.

The onshore monsoon winds from the Indian Ocean, and altitude. The winds determine the onset of Kenya’s two rainy seasons, with the hot northeast monsoon or kaskazi blowing dry air in from the Persian Gulf.
The heaviest rains are later in April, May and June but there will be showers and the air will be humid. Animals will not have to work as hard to find lush grasses and plantlife!
