History
Simba was born as a prince, Prince of Pride Rock. He lived in the Pride Lands till his father's death... Scar, his jealous uncle killed his father, Mufasa, for the throne and exiled him. Running away, with no family, with no future, just with painful past behind, he was found in the desert by a meerkat and a warthog who became his best friends and raised him in the jungle called Hakuna Matata.
Years later, Nala - his best friend from Pride Lands -, searching for help, found Simba in the jungle. Nala tried to make Simba go back, but the male didn't want. He thought he had been the reason for his father's death, therefore he didn't consider himself worthy of being king. Later, Mufasa's ghost and an old good friend, Rafiki knocked some sense into his head, and finally he went back to the Pride Lands to fight Scar for the throne.
Now as the king of the Pride Lands, he rules the land as well as he could, and always tries following in Mufasa's pawprints. He has two children: Kiara, the future queen, and Kion, the leader of the Lion Guard. His main enemy now is Zira, Scar's true follower, whom he exiled after the war.

The rising sun was shining into Simba's eyes in the cave when he woke up and opened his eyes. He stood up with a yawn and streched shaking his mane, then started off towards the entrance. The lion had to take his steps carefully because he was the first awake and didn't want to step on anyone.
Walking off the den, the male made his way to the edge of Pride Rock just for a quick view. He went for his patrol almost every morning but at least five times a week. A soft and warm breeze messed up his red mane while taking a deep breath with closed eyes. Oh, the fresh morning air! The dewy air reached his lungs making the lion fresher than before, he didn't even feel tired now.
He was waiting for Zazu, his loyal majordomo, who came with his morning report. After the bird arrived and they discussed the important things, Simba started off again and made his way to the Savannah walking down the path of Pride Rock. The rocks underneath his paws had already got warmed by the sunlight, though the dewy grassland was still cool. The light glinted on the damp leaves as Simba passed them.
Yes, this was the land where he had always belonged, the land he would always fight for.
