Welcome to 'We Have Barely Begun', A canon-OC RP taking place in the Lion King Universe.
Taking place during the cubhood of Kiara and Kion, this rp will be a game of politics, war and the Circle of Life! The Outlanders are rallying to train Kovu to be king. The Outer Prides are trying their best to betroth their cubs to Kiara. Hyena clans are infuriated with their lot in life and search for revenge! Where do you side?
Mrefustar's trademark tail whipped low behind him as he marched through the lush dirt. This was neutral territory, he knew this, which was why he'd come there to think. He barely smelled a lion scent among the trees. Prey was abundant. He wondered to himself why no lion had settled here. He rolled his shoulders in a shrug. It was peaceful here. Always a wanderer, Mrefustar was fine coming here. To get away from the giant pride they had formed.
The fighting was getting hectic. Mrefustar's Windclan lions were proud but they had done well to keep things together. The Riverclan lions, Shadowclan and Thunderclan were another story. They started fights and their leaders did not trust one another. Mrefustar sighed and looked up at the clear sky.
He shook his thin body and lowered his head towards the water. In the pool he saw not only his reflection but another. Without missing a beat the old leader spoke.
"This is neutral territory," he pointed out, "Please, either speak friendly or move on. I am wary and in no mood for a fight."
"Chillax, dude. I'm not in any mood to fight either."
Penina had never been to this area before. She'd always wanted to come, but things had gotten a bit chaotic and with her being banished to he outlands with the rest of her pride sisters? It made it hella hard, in her own words, to do much of anything. Her intention had been to slip away to try and see how things were going in the area. That much had led to her meandering to the jungle and being blown away by how gorgeous it was. It was so full of life! Penina was jealous; she wanted to live there. Alas and alack, there was no convincing Zira to move there. Her bestie was a stubborn one, and when an idea got in her head Penina knew there was no shaking it. So she'd gone on her own.
Mrefustar's presence was obvious to her. She'd scented the male after meandering a bit, and the blue-eyed girl was left staring at him. He didn't look like any Pride Lander she'd ever seen. Maybe he was from a different pride entirely. Penina figured that that made sense. She seated herself and flashed a little bit of a smile. Boy did he have a long tail! She'd never seen a lion with one so long before. But it made him unique, as did his fur color.
"I'm Penina. You'd know if I was itching for a fight, and boy? That's not me today," she said. What was his name? Where had he come from? Why did he have that marking on his forehead? Penina didn't even know where to begin with questions, but she kept thinking of them. Go figure.
Mrefustar raised an eyebrow. What was this female saying? Well whatever she was saying she wasn't saying it out of hostility or hate. The male lifted his head and offered a warm smile to the young lioness. Mrefustar's lionclan had a much more respectful relationship with their females in his opinion.
"Mrefustar," the long tailed lion purred, "Pleasure to meet you. And...no...I'm not from the pridelands." He sat back on his haunches and licked a paw, washing his face as he spoke.
"I suppose you're not either Penina," he remarked, "There are other prides in our lands here other than the pridelanders." He chuckled softly to himself.
The onshore monsoon winds from the Indian Ocean, and altitude. The winds determine the onset of Kenya’s two rainy seasons, with the hot northeast monsoon or kaskazi blowing dry air in from the Persian Gulf.
The heaviest rains are later in April, May and June but there will be showers and the air will be humid. Animals will not have to work as hard to find lush grasses and plantlife!
